Romeo et Juilette was a complete disappointment. Although Simone Osborne, winner of the Metropolitan Opera audition was completely amazing - her voice was breath-taking. Her look as Juliette was lacking (sorry to be shallow). My shallowness will continue as Romeo was old and ugly as was Paris... SO DEPRESSING when aesthetically it does not work.
The setting as per usual with Vancouver opera was amazing. The orchestra for this particular show was gorgeous but... that comes with the opera!
However, this was perhaps the worse opera I have seen at Queen Elizabeth.
