It's all in the Hint

In church this week the drummer turned to me and asked a vital question:

WHY WEAR THESE EXPENSIVE SHOES AND THEN COVER THEM UP WITH LONG JEANS?

It really made me think. Why do we pair some stunning shoes with pants that cover them? It was then someone else chipped in with the ultimate statement. We do it for the tease of fashion. The slight glimpse of a shoe beneath the jeans or pants is a little excitement.

Peeking out from below material a piece of art work.

My favorite thing is to sit at a table and bounce my leg across the other and with each bounce glimpsing the beauty that is my Cinderella Slipper! Don’t deny it... you do it too?!

It is like wearing black underwear on a date. The slightest glimpse of a black bra strap or a trace of black lace along the pant rise is the height of sexiness. It is the hint that makes it the most appealing. No body wants it shoved in their faces... whatever “that” is.

So why do we wear these expensive shoes and then cover them up with long clothing?

It is the hint that’s the key to capturing the attention, not the flaunting!
